Cottage Sauna

Very precise site measuring was undertaken to locate rock outcroppings in order for the wood burning outdoor sauna and integrated deck to be positioned, obscuring the structure from the main cottage and orientating towards the sunsets. The pathway leading down from the cottage was also carefully planned out to blend seamlessly with the rugged terrain.

A naturalistic approach was deemed the most appropriate for this post and beam constructed home located in the Town of the Blue Mountains and within a golf cart ride of the Georgian Bay Club. Tiered planting beds where constructed of armour stone and a crushed granite driveway is bordered by large wiarton limestone slabs, thereby achieving a rustic effect - further enhanced with lush planting of ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, specimen evergreens, and free-flowering perennials.
